The Grote Markt (Dutch) or Grand Place (French)
is the central market square of Brussels. It is surrounded
by guild houses, the city's Town Hall and the Bread
House (Dutch: Broodhuis, French: Maison du Roi).
Many consider this the most beautiful square in the
world. This splendid esplanade is surrounded by Flemish
Renaissance-baroque guild houses from the 17th century,
the neo-Gothic King's House, and the 15th-century Gothic
Town Hall. The 91m (300-ft.) tower of the Town Hall
bears a spire, on which perches the Archangel Michael,
patron saint of the city.
Some evenings a music and light show is provided with
the buildings serving as a canvas.
Manneken Pis - 20 minute leisurely walk from hotel
Just a short walk from the Grand Place-Grote Markt
is the Manneken Pis. This famous Brussels landmark,
designed by Jerome Duquesnoy in 1619, is a small
bronze fountain sculpture of a naked little boy urinating
into the fountain's basin.

Bruxelles-Nord / Brussel-Noord (Brussels North)
is one of the three major railway station in Brussels.
The other 2 are Brussels Central and Brussels South.
The station's bilingual French-Dutch name is generally
translated to "Brussels North". Every regular domestic
and international train (except thalys) passing here
also has a planned stop. This is the closest station
to the Hotel.

station in Brussels along with North South (Midi) Staton.

Brussels dating back to the 16th century. In recent

bars. Place du Grand Sablon (The Sablon square) is also
renowned for its weekend antique market held at the
Place du Grand Sablon on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00
pm and Sundays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
